![]() Dane Nelson Jimmie, Star Racing Writer BANG-in-form four-year-old filly RIGHT MARKER tackles her shortest trip in 10 starts but has been so dominant, winning her last four starts in fast times, that she is hard to oppose at 1100 metres in tomorrow's St Catherine Cup. The chestnut filly has not put a foot wrong since November 11 when she slammed RED FLAG by almost six lengths at 1200 metres, racking three other victories on the trot. She completed her fourth straight win on January 14, whipping LITTLE WASP by two and three quarter lengths at 1500 metres. Speedy SARAGOSSA, who chased SAINT CECELIA to the furlong pole in the 1200-metre Superday Sprint on November 11, will have to be watched by Paul Francis aboard RIGHT MARKER. SARAGOSSA is a renowned five-furlong straight sprinter but could use his pace to steal a march if allowed to have things his way on the lead, as he did at 1500 metres last March. However, he is a bit heavy at 56.0 kilos in what should be a battle for the lead with the likes of LITTLE WASP, ONLY BEGOTTEN SUN and possibly DA BOOM. RIGHT MARKER should be watching the fray from a handy position before making her move at the leaders leaving the three-furlong pole. When she kicks in the overdrive up the lane, her closing splits will prove too strong for the burnt-out speedsters inside the final furlong. Leading jockey Dane Nelson has a double lined up - LADY KANCHAN in the fifth and MISS MAY in the sixth. LADY KANCHAN was slowly away in her last start against the wrong horse, eight-length winner PRINCE ANDREW. However, she returns with the tongue-tie fitted against an easier bunch at 1200 metres and should make amends. She breezed 1:01.1 from the gate two Mondays ago with the equipment and should make amends tomorrow. MISS MAY found only the fixed-up KING T too good at a mile on January 7 and is confidently expected to go one better at 1820 metres. Take INSPIRATION and MR SKILL in the first two races. INSPIRATION was outsped by DARCAS ARMANDA at 1300 metres on January 7 but closed readily that afternoon and will relish tomorrow's additional half furlong. Speedy MR SKILL gets an ideal outside draw in the 1100-metre second event from where Shane Ellis is expected to circle rivals and run them into the ground up the lane.
