Seeing red

Dear Pastor,

I want to thank you for all the good that you have done. I am a regular reader of your column and I need your help.

I have been with a man for two years. My problem is that recently we had sex and, shortly afterwards, I began to bleed. We did not use a condom and he did not ejaculate inside of me. Days went by and the bleeding increased, even though I had already seen my period for the month. I have since been experiencing bellyaches and cramping, and the bleeding is even heavier now.

I don't know why this is happening.

A.G., Jamaica

Dear A.G.,

Consult your gynaecologist as soon as possible. Any time a woman experiences abnormal bleeding or unusual discharge, she should see her doctor immediately.
